Amartos Medieval Tower, Monastery and Cave Chapel
Amartos is a medieval site consisting of a monastery plus a ruined square tower. Travelling further towards the coast, there is a cave that is said to have holy dripping water where a miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary was discovered, together with local folklore tradition and legend.

A hike up the Akramítis mountain
This is probably the less demanding route to scale Mount Akramítis. The hike offers panoramic views, varying terrains, and historical sites. The return trip can take around 5 hours to cover approximately 8 km, allowing for time to admire the sites and rest.

An extensive hike to Fourni Beach, taking in the coastline with spectacular views. This is a challenging walk and the return route is by road although there is supposedly a path directly back from the beach, it is certainly not easy to access.

A fairly simple walk along dirt tracks and paths between Monolithos and Siana
Siana (Σιάνα) has a lot to offer the visitor including the magnificent church of Saint Panteleimonas (Αγίου Παντελεήμονα) and a museum in the former church building. This walk provides a rural route that connects Monolithos to Siana to provide a full days walking and sightseeing.

A climb to the peak of the third highest mountain on Rhodes
This walk follows a well defined route from Salakos up to the summit of the mountain known as Profitis Ilias. The mountain side is the location of the reputed Mussolini's Villa which is now a dilapidated ruin. with outstanding views from the summit it is worth persevering over the more strenuous final climb to the top.

A straight forward walk along broad tracks that directly link Salakos and the area of Fountoukli
This extensive but easy going hike follows a track through the hills from the village of Salakos to the medieval church of Saint Nikolaos, Fountoukli (Ιερός Ναός Αγίου Νικολάου Φουντουκλί)
which is renowned for its medieval interior artwork. There is a Taverna close to church which is open out of season (September to May) and makes a perfect place for refreshment.

A circular walk taking in the Butterfly River at Salakos
The Butterfly River cascades down through the wooded valley to the east of the village of Salakos. The well trod path that follows this river climbs to the head of the stream where the area of the Nymph springs makes a fitting finale of this walk. Plenty of views, plenty of shady lush vegetation and, of course plenty of butterflies.

A circular route through the hills between the Holy Cross church and Moni Ipseni
This walk leads in to the wild yonder to make a circular route between the Holy Cross church and Moni Ipseni. The starting point is in the hills but this specific route is detailed from the nearest transport hub at the village of Lardos. This is a beautiful wander through the hills, exploring the natural history of the island.

An adventurous walk into the hills above Lardos
There are waterfalls in the hills above the village of Lardos during rainy period. Although there is no documented route to find these this walk leads the way to such potential areas. There are some challenges in completing the route but nothing an experienced hiker should be incapable of. It has to be said that during times of rainfall navigating the full route may not be possible.
