An 8km (5 mile) hike through the Skoutouljaris Gorge and continuing up to the Plakia lakes. Return is via paths around the mountain side that connects to the Moni Kimmiri monastery. A surfaced road then leads back to the start of the gorge.

A walk that avoids the blocking boulders in the Skoutouljaris Gorge

A fairly challenging 14.5 km (9 miles) circular hike that starts at Masari village and navigates the hill top path at the start of the Skoutouljaris Gorge. This path provides a method to avoid the three large boulders that are wedged across the gorge, blocking the way up river for those who cannot overcome this difficult obstacle. The return route passes two lakes, then takes tracks down to the Makaris river, returning to the start along the road.

Monolithos Windmill

A short walk to the historic windmill of Monolithos. This is a traditional Rhodian mill with a cylindrical stone tower and a distinctive timber cap with a conical roof. The windmill offers a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the nearby islets. It is one of the finest examples of medieval Greek technology and a symbol of the the village's and the island's rich heritage.
